Fees & costs
Platform fee collection is not active. This guide separates costs that apply to swaps now from Nearsight’s proposed 2% fee schedule and future revenue sharing.
Proposed Nearsight fee
At the proposed 2% rate, a filled 10 NEAR buy would incur a 0.2 NEAR Nearsight fee. A qualifying SIGHT Pro wallet would have a 0% Nearsight rate. These examples describe the published schedule, not a charge currently being collected. Fee collection must pass successful-fill and failed-fill settlement checks before activation.
SIGHT is live on Nearly. Its token tax and pool fee are distinct from any Nearsight platform fee.
Costs that can apply now
| Cost | Where it comes from | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Network gas | NEAR transaction processing, including possible setup actions. | Wallet approval. |
| Pool fee | Built into the liquidity pool’s swap price. | Pool and quote. |
| Token tax | Buy or sell deduction configured by the token creator or venue. | Token facts and trade panel. |
| Price impact | Your order changes the execution price in a thin pool. | Trade quote. |
| Storage deposit | Some token contracts require one-time account registration. | Wallet transaction details. |
Slippage is your allowed price movement, not a fee. A higher setting can make a trade more likely to execute at a worse price.
Planned fee sharing
If the platform fee is activated, the planned split is 30% of that fee to a qualifying referrer and 20% to a qualifying callout author when a buyer follows the call. These shares come out of the Nearsight fee. They do not add 30% or 20% to the trader’s order.
30% of that fee = 0.06 NEAR referral share
20% of that fee = 0.04 NEAR callout share
If both qualify, the remaining 50% of the platform fee stays with Nearsight. Payout rules and timing are not active or finalized.
Frequently asked questions
Am I paying a Nearsight fee today?
The current configuration keeps platform fee collection off. Always check the live trade quote and wallet approval before signing; these show the actual transaction you are authorizing.
Does a referral or callout increase my cost?
No separate referral or callout charge is planned. Both shares are portions of the proposed Nearsight platform fee.
What if the swap fails?
The proposed Nearsight fee applies only to filled trades. A failed or refunded transaction can still consume network gas.
Does 0% mean a free swap?
No. Pool fees, token taxes, gas, storage deposits, and price impact can still apply even if the Nearsight platform rate is zero.
